Frans is the General Manager for Uber in Sub-Saharan Africa where he is responsible for the development and sustainable growth for the business and team. Prior to this role, he worked as the Head of Driver Operations where he focused on supply management as Uber continues to grow its existing cities and expand to new territories in SSA.
Frans has been with Uber since September 2015 and previously worked as a Management Consultant in the Energy & Resources, Manufacturing, Distribution and African Economic Development sectors.
Frans grew up in South Africa, studied at Stellenbosch University and is a Chartered Accountant. He has worked locally and abroad and has a passion for the development business in Sub Saharan Africa.
