Liz Grossman Kitoyi
Bio
Liz is an Entrepreneur and Communications Strategist with extensive experience in building global partnerships and campaigns. With a focus on international business, policy, and talent in Africa, her unique experiences and broad network come from 14 years of studying, living, and working in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Diaspora.
She co-founded and leads the premier Africa-focused social impact firm, Baobab Consulting which offers public relations and strategic advisory to world leaders, international organizations, companies, nonprofits, and academic institutions. She also serves as Communications Advisor for the eTrade Alliance, a $14.7M Global Development Alliance (GDA) implemented between USAID and 11 leading private sector partners. She has worked in leadership roles for the Joyce Banda Foundation, Tostan, and spent three years as a high school teacher in Dakar, Senegal. She consults for governments, non-profits, UN agencies, and policy think tanks based in the US, Africa, and around the globe.
She was named as one of Forbes’ Next 1000 and serves as President of the Harvard Women Alumni Network (New York City Chapter). She also sits on the board of Teach for Senegal and serves on the Leadership Council for the Resolution Project. She was a founding member of the African Women Leaders Network ( a joint initiative of UN Women and the African Union), supporting both the former Presidents and sitting on the Young Women’s Caucus. She serves the Vital Voices Young Leaders Council in New York and the advisory board of the Impact Hub New York. She holds a B.A. Communications Studies/International Studies from Northwestern University, and M.Ed, International Education Policy from Harvard University.
