Agnes is the Director of the Learning Community at Andela aka ALC. With over 18 years work experience, having worked at the intersection of mobile payments, inclusive finance, startup
accelerators, and talent marketplaces both internationally and across Africa. Agnes continues to be fueled and re-energized in solving problems around how talent in emerging market is seen, and connected with employable opportunities.
Agnes is also the founder of Digital SkillsPodcast, a podcast dedicated to sharing ideas that help young vibrant Africans become creators and owners of their own future through learning and monetizing digital skills.
Agnes is the co-founder of 254 Network, a women’s leadership network group that is a trusted resource for working women. Agnes firmly believes that women who support each other are “ stronger together”.
In 2015, The Information Communication & Technology Ministry of Kenya appointed Agnes as an advisor of the Presidential Digital Talent Program in Kenya, where she is an active mentor and advisor on government-led initiatives that focus on digitizing Government systems and linking young people with employable opportunities. Agnes holds a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Southern Methodist University (SMU) – Dallas, Texas, where she was awarded a Presidential Scholarship.
