Adaeze is currently the Country Director for the UK Nigeria Tech Hub. The UK Nigeria tech hub is an initiative of the UK Government Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to support the growth of sustainable digital ecosystems in Nigeria through the development of high-end skills, supporting start-up growth and development and facilitating linkages/partnerships between the UK and Nigeria.
She has over 6 years’ experience in Africa’s tech ecosystem and has worked with different partners across government agencies including the Office of the President and Vice President to provide advisory support and program design as well as International Partners such as the European Union, World Bank, US Embassy, USAID, FCDO as well as Private Sector partners such as ARM, Google, Microsoft and Facebook interested in supporting and engaging the ecosystem.
Adaeze Sokan believes that the future of Africa will be built by entrepreneurs leveraging innovation and technology. Adaeze Sokan is an Obama Fellow and a 2021 NESG Bridge Fellow. She is trained in Political Science from Illinois State University and a Masters in African Studies from University of California Los Angeles. She is an avid reader, writer and also a coach to young upcoming professionals, especially women in Africa.
