Kiran leads Facebook’s work with community leaders across Africa and the Middle East to support them in starting, growing and sustaining meaningful communities that impact people’s lives. She also co-leads Facebook’s Black employee network in London, Black@London, building the internal community and professional development of the Black community. She has over a decade’s worth of experience spanning community building, entrepreneurship and using technology as a tool for social and economic change. This includes helping build The Africa List – a community of senior African business people driving economic change across Africa for the UK’s Development Finance Institution – CDC Group, as well as co-founding the African fashion e-commerce platform Styled By Africa. She is passionate about contributing to Africa’s digital story, mobilising communities of change-makers, the creative economy, authentic leadership, and scalable economic development in African countries. Kiran holds an MSc in International Development with a focus on the politics and economics of Sub-Saharan Africa from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
