Aniko has over 20 years of emerging market investing experience from venture capital and growth equity to debt financing with a primary focus on technology, media and telecom (“TMT”) investments.
Aniko is a co-founder of Atlantica Ventures, an African impact focused venture capital fund investing in tech and tech enabled startups in Africa.
Aniko is also an Independent Non-Executive Board Member of IHS Holding Ltd, a NYSE listed TMT company with operations in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
Prior to founding Atlantica Ventures, Aniko was the Global Head of the TMT Group at the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), leading investment and portfolio activities in emerging markets. In this position, Aniko oversaw a US$1bn + portfolio of investments across the capital structure and managed a team of 50 professionals. Prior to becoming Global Head, Aniko was the Head of the Africa and Latin America TMT Group at IFC.
Aniko has been investing in Africa since 2004.
Prior to IFC, Aniko worked for McKinsey & Company, Kraft Foods International and DHL Worldwide Express.
Aniko holds various graduate degrees, including an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Wharton School, and an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania.
