Bio

Akindele is a passionate entrepreneur and the Chief Exceutive Officer and Co-Founder of Farmcrowdy, a global Agtech company focused on helping stakeholders in the food value chain maximize their output and increase their profits with technology. With a game-changing platform that leverages technology to connect over 420,000 food value chain participants in our network with access to finance, reduce the cost of production, open market access, and harvest better yields.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (ACCA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He was a recipient of several national academic awards and scholarships during his academic years.

Akindele worked in the Credit Risk Management Group of one of the leading Banks in Nigeria; Zenith Bank Plc and then proceeded to work as an Audit Associate with KPMG Professional Services.

He has taken some courses in recent times including ‘Building , Leading, and Sustaining the Innovative Organization’ at Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Sloan School of Management, ‘Blue Ocean Strategy’ course at the Lagos Business School, Nigeria and Oxford Executive Leadership Program at Said Business School, University of Oxford.

Akindele Phillips is committed to value creation for the development of Africa. He believes in the numerous possibilities and opportunities available in Africa and constantly seeks ways to maximize them for the benefit of other inspired Nigerians.
