Roaa Ahmed

Roaa is a purpose driven person with a diverse professional background that includes engineering, education, entrepreneurship, and business development. She is the Senior Strategic Programs Specialist at BasharSoft (Owner of WUZZUF & Forasna) focusing on social and economic growth for millions of people and businesses in Egypt. In 2020, she was amongst the first 100 to become a Facebook Blueprint Certified Community Manager and has been working as FCCM Learning mentor since then. After which, she joined the Facebook team in 2021 as FCS Regional Community Manager, MENA to help with Facebook’s global community Summit, impacting thousands of digital community leaders worldwide. Roaa is also an LCE certified mentor & member of the Women Entrepreneurs Network by USAID-SSA.

Prior to that, she shifted her career from architectural engineering to business. She is the former COO of Entreprenelle, an Egyptian startup focused on supporting women entrepreneurs through education. In 2019, She established the Entreprenelle Hub community to support women entrepreneurs; digitally connecting 40,000+ entrepreneurs, service providers, and ecosystem players. Alongside top 24 community leaders chosen worldwide, Roaa has been featured as Community Leader 2020 by Facebook. She has also led the design and growth of various acceleration programs and managed MEGA women entrepreneurship events in MENA region.

With over 10 years’ experience in volunteer work with various NGOs & Hospitals such as 57357 Children Cancer, Save the Children, AYB and Helm, Roaa regularly provides training and consultation with a special focus on new initiatives launching and management. She was recognized in various local and regional media such as BBC and WhatWomenWant magazine for her work. A former architect who continued studies on Sustainable Cities & Entrepreneurship at Technische Universität Berlin & YTG as well as on Public Relations and PMDP at AUC School of Business.
