Bio
Barry Baetu born and educated in UK has been in the IT industry in Southern Africa since 1971 and in the computer industry since 1966. He was one of the innovators of portable computing and barcode solutions in Southern Africa stretching back to 1979. He was part of the team that worked with ICASA to accept both European and USA RFID standards for South Africa.
He has successfully built his businesses around Auto Identification including barcode , RFID and IOT.
In the early 1980s he worked with Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland (now Eswatini) in designing and running computer courses for government employees.
Now Baetu lives and breathes technology always looking towards the next best solution whether it be drones for stock takes or powerful active tag technology without batteries harvesting energy from surrounding devices.
